Expert: Bulk of fixed-line operators to raise 2021 tariffs 10–15%

MOSCOW, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Most of Russia’s largest fixed-line operators think their tariffs will rise by 10–15% in 2021, news and research agency TelecomDaily said on Tuesday in a research.

The operators plan to hike prices every year: in late 2018 they intended to respond to the increase of value-added tax and the data retention law, in 2019 they lacked money, and in 2020, there is the pandemic, and many business clients ended their operations, and clients lost work.

TelecomDaily said 84% of the respondents waited for an increase in prices in 2020, and the figure was at 86% for 2021.

Every year the operators think prices will rise higher. In 2019, 62% of the respondents were ready for the rise of more than 10%, now over 74% of the respondents are ready for such growth.
